Dhangu Djorra'wuy Dhawu: A Brief History of Writing in Aboriginal Language

    Abstract

    The various myths and misunderstandings that exist amongst many Australians regarding writing in Aboriginal languages are discussed. A brief history of writing in Aboriginal languages and the three developmental phases of such writing are highlighted.
