Fahrenheit and Celsius, Kelvin and Rankine

    The development of thermometers from their early invention is discussed. Over the past century the various scales have been refined and re-defined. Today the four main temperature scales in use are those of Fahrenheit, Celsius, Kelvin and Rankine. Converting equation examples are provided. Mathematical exercises for the home and class room are also provided.
